Oriental Sails is a traditional wooden cruise, built in a classic Vietnamese style and offering a more down to earth way to explore Ha Long Bay. Warm wooden interiors, simple design, and large windows throughout the boat keep everything open, so the views are never far from sight. Over two days and one night, you cruise past limestone karsts, stop along the way for a few local experiences, and still have time to slow down, whether that means watching the bay from the deck or simply sitting back as the scenery drifts by.
08:00 – 08:30| Depart from Hanoi and travel to Ha Long International Cruise Port in Bai Chay. Upon arrival, take a short break at the waiting lounge before boarding.
12:00 – 12:30| Board Oriental Sails Cruise. Enjoy a welcome drink as the crew provides a quick orientation and safety briefing. Check in to your cabin and settle in.
13:15| Savor lunch while cruising through the iconic seascape of Ha Long Bay, passing dramatic limestone formations. The cruise later anchors near the Titop Island area.
15:00 – 16:00| Join a guided excursion to Sung Sot Cave (Surprise Cave), one of the largest and most impressive caves in Ha Long Bay.
16:00 – 17:00| Continue to Titop Island, where you can hike to the summit for panoramic views over the bay or relax on the beach and swim in clear waters.
17:20| Return to the cruise and unwind on board while watching the sunset. Enjoy Happy Hour at the bar.
18:00| Take advantage of drink promotions and join a Vietnamese cooking demonstration led by the onboard chef.
19:00 – 21:00| Dinner is served on board. A private dining setup can be arranged upon request.
21:00 – 22:00| Evening leisure time: try squid fishing with the crew, sing karaoke, or simply relax in your cabin. Overnight on board in Ha Long Bay
06:30| Start your morning with sunrise over the Gulf of Tonkin. Join a Tai Chi session on the sundeck to gently awaken your body.
07:00 – 08:00| Enjoy breakfast while the cruise continues through the maze-like karst formations of Ha Long Bay.
08:00 – 09:00| Explore Luon Cave by bamboo boat (rowed by a local) or kayak at your own pace, an excellent way to discover quieter corners of the bay.
09:00| Return to the cruise for a quick refresh.
09:30| Check out of your cabin as the cruise heads back toward Bai Chay, passing scenic viewpoints ideal for photos.
10:50| Enjoy an early lunch on board.
11:30 – 11:45| Disembark at the port. End of your Ha Long Bay cruise 2 days 1 night experience.
12:00 – 16:30| Transfer back to Hanoi. Arrival at your hotel is expected around 16:30.
For environmental protection, single-use plastics are restricted in Ha Long Bay. Guests are encouraged to follow onboard regulations for a sustainable travel experience.
A small day bag is recommended, including camera, swimwear, sunscreen, insect repellent, passport, and some cash or cards.
