This Mystic Northern Peaks 10 Days route follows a less-traveled path through northern Vietnam, moving from the valleys of Mai Chau and Moc Chau into the terraced slopes of Mu Cang Chai, then across the Ha Giang Loop with its high mountain passes, winding roads, and remote villages. Expect long drives, changing terrain, and time on foot in places like La Pan Tan and the Dong Van plateau. The journey covers some of the most challenging and rewarding sections in the north, including Khau Pha Pass and Ma Pi Leng Pass above the Nho Que River. It concludes at Ban Gioc Waterfall in Cao Bang, where the landscape opens out toward the border. More than a standard sightseeing tour, this is a route shaped by distance, terrain, and close contact with local life along the way.
