Before traveling to Vietnam, make sure you check the latest visa policies to avoid any unexpected issues.
Visa Exemption
Citizens of 13 countries including Russia, Japan, South Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Belarus can enter Vietnam without a visa for up to 45 days. In addition, Vietnam has bilateral agreements with most ASEAN countries, allowing citizens to visit without a visa for 14 to 30 days, depending on the country. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, refer to the official website of Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Vietnam E-Visa
If you are not eligible for visa exemption, the most convenient option is to apply for an E-Visa online. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. Applications can be made at the official website:https://evisa.gov.vn/. Processing usually takes 3–5 working days.
Visa on Arrival
Visa on Arrival is available only for travelers entering Vietnam by air. You can apply for the visa approval letter directly through the Vietnam Immigration Department’s official portal, or via a licensed travel/visa agency if you prefer assistance. Once the approval letter is issued, print it out and bring it with you. Upon arrival at one of Vietnam’s eight international airports, present the letter to the immigration officer to have the visa stamped into your passport.
