Itinerary

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam’s most dynamic metropolis! Upon arrival, our guide and driver will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in the city center.   In the afternoon, join a guided tour to the city’s landmarks. The first stop is Notre Dame Cathedral, an elegant red-brick church built during the late 19th century, a heritage from the French colonial time. Just across the street stands the Central Post Office, an architectural gem with arched ceiling, vintage maps, and classic postal counters still in use today. Continue to Ben Thanh Market, wander through the colorful stalls filled with local produce, textiles, handicrafts, and souvenirs while soaking in the lively atmosphere. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant, followed by time to relax at your hotel.

Meals: Dinner

After breakfast, drive about 45 minutes to the Physical Disability Teaching Center in Hoc Mon District, on the outskirts of Saigon. Established in 2003 and officially operating since 2006, the center currently supports around 100–130 learners with various physical disabilities, including those who are hearing, speech, or visually impaired. Here, they are trained in practical skills such as garment making, embroidery, computer work, massage, and painting. Today marks the start of your two-day community service experience. You’ll assist the center with daily activities such as preparing meals with the kitchen team, painting fences and gates, gardening, and watering vegetables. Students will be divided into small groups, with tasks rotated each day to ensure everyone gains hands-on experience. Lunch will be served at the center, and dinner will be enjoyed at a local restaurant back in the city.

Continue your second day of community service at the Physical Disability Teaching Center. Today you’ll have more time to interact with the learners, share stories, and build connections through teamwork and creative activities. In the late afternoon, join in a friendly cultural exchange, including a singing performance and a postcard-drawing session. This is a heartfelt moment to express friendship and appreciation before presenting small gifts to the center and saying goodbye to your new friends. Return to the city for dinner and overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

This morning, head northwest to explore the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extraordinary underground system stretching over 200 kilometers. Built during the resistance against American forces, the tunnels once served as living quarters, supply routes, and hideouts for local fighters. Students will have the chance to walk through a section of the tunnels, see clever traps and makeshift kitchens, and learn how determination and creativity helped the Vietnamese people overcome immense challenges. Return to the city for lunch before continuing your exploration. Visit the War Remnants Museum, where photos and exhibits offer deep insight into Vietnam’s modern history and resilience. Then, stop by Thien Hau Pagoda, one of the oldest Chinese temples in the city, dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea and adorned with intricate wood carvings and spiral incense coils. The afternoon ends with a return visit to Ben Thanh Market for any last souvenirs, followed by a stop at the Saigon Skydeck, where you can admire panoramic views of the city as the sun sets. Dinner at a local restaurant.
