Wander through its maze of narrow streets, where time-worn architecture and lively shopfronts reveal the soul of the capital.

This morning you’ll set off for Ninh Binh, a destination famed for its stunning scenery and historical depth. You will first uncover Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, a place that still preserves sacred temples and cultural relics from the 10th century, narrating the glorious reigns of King Dinh and King Le. After that, you’ll have time for lunch (your own arrangement) In the afternoon, take a peaceful sampan boat ride along the Ngo Dong River in Tam Coc, drifting past golden rice paddies and beneath towering cliffs. Continue with a leisurely bicycle ride through tranquil villages and lush rice paddies to reach Bich Dong Pagoda, set on the slopes of a limestone hill. The remaining evening time is for yourself to enjoy Ninh Binh as you like.

After breakfast, your guide will lead you on a climb of roughly 500 steps to the summit of Múa Mountain (also known as Ngoa Long Mountain). From the top, take in sweeping panoramic views of emerald rice paddies and the winding Ngo Dong River snaking through dramatic limestone karsts. Lunch is at your own pace. In the afternoon, continue your journey to Pu Luong Nature Reserve, a secluded paradise of terraced fields, traditional stilt houses, and lush valleys. Check into your lodge and enjoy the serene rural surroundings, with the evening free to relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere.

Try your hand at hulling and grinding rice, weaving vibrant fabrics on traditional looms, and discovering the fragrant craft of rice wine making. From here, head to Cham Stream and step aboard a simple bamboo raft, gliding gently along its crystal-clear waters. The serene landscapes unfolding around you evoke a true sense of tranquility. Along the way, visit a hidden treasure discovered by locals—the aptly named Surprising Cave—its chambers adorned with dramatic stalactites. You may also take a refreshing swim in the cool, emerald waters before enjoying a local lunch served right on the raft. Then follow scenic trails through terraced fields to reach Hieu Waterfall, an 800-meter cascade perfect for a refreshing dip. Visit a duck farm to meet the Cổ Lũng breed, prized for its tender, flavorful meat. Your lunch will also be served with this special dish. Ending Pu Luong trip, you’ll be transferred back to Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Explore the impressive Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave, then kayak or take a bamboo boat through Luon Cave to a peaceful lagoon.
