Discover the essence of Northern Vietnam in 5 days. Stroll through the lively streets of Hanoi, cruise the emerald waters of Halong Bay, and marvel at the stunning limestone landscapes of Ninh Binh. A journey blending culture, history, and breathtaking nature awaits.
Welcome, dear guests, to Hanoi – the vibrant capital and the heart of Vietnam, fondly known as “The City for Peace.”
Once you land at Noi Bai International Airport, our tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to central Hanoi. If you come early in the morning, you may leave your luggage at the hotel as check-in time is from 2pm. Early check in is upon request and subject to availability
Your tour will begin with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex and Ba Dinh Square. Standing on the historic square where President Ho Chi Minh proclaimed Vietnam’s Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945—marking the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam)—you will have the opportunity to admire the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a symbol of national pride and remembrance honoring the country’s beloved leader.
Nearby, the Presidential Palace stands as a striking example of French colonial architecture. A short walk from there will lead you to Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house, offering a touching glimpse into his humble and simple lifestyle.
Next, a brief 500 m walk brings you to the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, rising elegantly from a lotus pond with its unique single-column design—a symbol of spiritual purity and Vietnamese heritage.
Afterward, we head to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, embodying the nation’s deep respect for education and Confucian traditions. Its ancient courtyards, stone steles, and classic architecture create a serene atmosphere that evokes a sense of reverence and scholarly appreciation.
To conclude the day, we take a leisurely stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, where legend and tranquility merge at the heart of the Old Quarter.
Notes:
This morning, you’ll leave the city behind and head to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its breathtaking seascape of limestone karsts, emerald waters and thousands of scattered islands. After a comfortable drive, board your boat and enjoy a welcome drink as you settle in and get ready for your overnight cruise.
Lunch is served as the boat begins to glide through the bay’s beautiful limestone islands—an ever-changing view that’s perfect for kicking back and soaking it all in.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit a cave and have time for a swim if the weather’s right. Then, return to the boat for a relaxing break, or join a casual cooking session where you’ll try your hand at making a Vietnamese dish. Happy hour is a great chance to grab a drink and catch the sunset from the deck.
Dinner is served onboard, followed by optional evening fun—maybe a drink at the bar, a bit of squid fishing, or simply enjoying the peaceful night on the water.
Overnight on the bay.
Notes:
There will be Taichi on the sundeck this morning if you would like to join in at around 6:00am - 6:30am. Then be prepared for breakfast and kayaking afterwards. You’ll have a chance to visit The Natural Preservation Area and see oyster farms.
We’ll get you back to the cruise for checking out and having brunch at about 10:00am while cruising to the pier. Your Halong trip ends here. The shuttle bus will transfer you back to Hanoi
Afternoon time is on your own.
Notes: Breakfast and brunch are included. Dinner is on your own
This morning you’ll set off for Ninh Binh, a destination famed for its stunning scenery and historical depth. You will first uncover Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, a place that still preserves sacred temples and cultural relics from the 10th century, narrating the glorious reigns of King Dinh and King Le. After that, you’ll have time for lunch (your own arrangement)
In the afternoon, you’ll take a boat ride through Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, gliding past towering limestone peaks, emerald waters, and mysterious caves. The day wouldn’t be complete without a climb to the summit of Mua Cave, where sweeping views of rice fields and dramatic cliffs deliver a picture-perfect panorama. The tour finishes with a drive back to Hanoi, leaving the evening free for you to relax
Notes: Breakfast and lunch are complimentary
