Your day begins at the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you’ll stroll across historic Ba Dinh Square and visit the humble stilt house that once belonged to Uncle Ho, set beside the stately Presidential Palace. Nearby stands the graceful One Pillar Pagoda, a symbol of purity and resilience. Continue on to the Temple of Literature—Vietnam’s first university, where ancient courtyards and centuries-old stone tablets reflect the nation’s deep respect for learning. In the afternoon, share a leisurely cyclo ride through the maze-like streets of the Old Quarter, before pausing at Ngoc Son Temple, peacefully resting on a small island in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake. By late afternoon, your guide will lead you on a lively street food tour through local markets and bustling alleys, tasting Hanoi’s favorite specialties such as grilled pork skewers, fried pancakes, bánh mì, dried beef salad, fresh steamed rice rolls, and seasonal fruits, accompanied by local beer and rounded off with sweet soup or a traditional egg coffee.
