About this tour

Join our photography expert on an early-morning walk through Hoi An, when the town glows in the soft light of dawn. Capture the first sunbeams glinting off the Japanese Covered Bridge, trace your way through quiet backstreets where locals begin their day, and follow the scent of fresh herbs and flowers to the bustling morning market. Drift along the Hoai River as fishing boats return to shore, then cross over to Kim Bong Carpentry Village to frame the rhythms of rural life and traditional craftsmanship. Every moment is a chance to see — and photograph — the true spirit of Hoi An before the crowds arrive.

Itinerary

Your day begins early at 5:15 AM, when your photographer guide meets you at your hotel or homestay within Hoi An Ancient Town. If you’re staying outside the center, please meet at BeBe Tailor (05–07 Hoang Dieu Street) to begin the tour.

Start the morning with a freshly brewed Vietnamese coffee and chat with your guide about shooting techniques and lighting tips for the golden hour. Then, head to the Japanese Covered Bridge, one of Hoi An’s most photographed landmarks. Capture the soft reflections on the Hoai River as the sun rises and the town slowly comes to life.

Continue to the iconic Yellow Wall Alley, a favorite among photographers, where the warm hues of early light create beautiful contrasts. As you wander deeper into the Ancient Town, capture the charm of morning life—locals sweeping their steps, the aroma of breakfast dishes filling the air, and vendors setting up their stalls.

Next, explore the bustling Hoi An Central Market, a vibrant place full of color and character. Your guide will show you how to approach and photograph people naturally while you observe the busy rhythm of daily trade.

Afterward, step aboard a sampan boat for a peaceful ride along the Hoai River, framing traditional houses, fishing boats, and riverside life from the water.

Your final stop is Kim Bong Carpentry Village on Cam Kim Island, where artisans still craft beautiful wooden pieces by hand. Photograph the details of their work, the gentle pace of village life, and the green rice fields glowing under the morning sun.

Return by boat to Hoi An Ancient Town, finishing your photo adventure with a fresh perspective and a beautiful collection of images that capture the essence of this timeless place.
