Cam Thanh Ecotour & My Son Sanctuary – 1 Day Tour

Begin your morning at around 9:00 – 9:15 AM, when your guide and driver pick you up from your hotel for a short ride to Cam Thanh Coconut Village, a tranquil corner of Hoi An surrounded by lush waterways.

Here, step into the rhythm of local life. Visit a traditional lantern workshop, where skilled artisans will show you how these vibrant symbols of Hoi An are made. Try your hand at crafting your own lantern—a colorful keepsake to take home.

Then, glide through the serene canals of the coconut forest on a traditional basket boat, guided by friendly local fishermen. Join in their daily activities—cast a net, catch crabs, and learn the art of round-net and cast-net fishing. You’ll also get to see the famous basket boat performance, and perhaps even join a fun mini race!

Afterwards, head to a local fisherman’s home for a hands-on cooking experience. Watch a lively fire performance by the chef, or try cooking a few dishes yourself if you wish. Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch featuring seven local specialties before bidding farewell to the village.

At around 1:00 PM, continue to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and once the spiritual heart of the Champa Kingdom. On arrival, take a guided walk through the ancient ruins surrounded by lush jungle. Learn about the fascinating history and architecture of this sacred site, and enjoy a traditional Cham dance performance that brings the culture to life.

By 4:30pm, transfer to the pier and  board a boat for a scenic cruise along the Thu Bon River. As you drift downstream, enjoy the cool breeze and witness the peaceful rhythms of local life unfolding along the banks. Capture the tranquil scenery bathed in the warm glow of sunset before returning to Hoi An, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel around 6:00pm.
