This 12-day journey begins in the northern charm of Hanoi and the emerald waters of Halong Bay, then takes you to the hidden caves of Phong Nha, the royal heritage of Hue, and the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An, before ending amid the vibrant energy of Ho Chi Minh City. Along the way, you’ll go beyond the usual highlights—joining a vintage Jeep ride through Hanoi’s backstreets, sampling Hue’s flavors from the back of a scooter, cruising overnight on Halong Bay, and joining locals in releasing lanterns on the Thu Bon River. True to our motto “Travel like a local,” this itinerary weaves together culture, history, nature, and authentic encounters for a journey you’ll never forget.
Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the heart of Hanoi. Take a leisurely stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake if time permits. The evening is free to rest after your flight.

Start your morning with breakfast at the hotel before enjoying some free time. In the afternoon, your guide will take you on a Hanoi Jeep Tour, a unique way to discover the city from an open-air vehicle. The ride leads you through lively streets and quiet corners, showing both the historic and modern sides of the capital. Your first stop is the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, where you’ll see Ba Dinh Square, the Presidential Palace, the House on Stilts, and the One Pillar Pagoda—landmarks that reflect the life and legacy of Ho Chi Minh, French colonial influence, and traditional spiritual culture. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university dedicated to Confucian values and national learning. The tour then takes you to Hanoi’s famous Train Street, a narrow residential lane just steps from the railway, where you can enjoy coffee while watching the train pass by. Journey through the bustling Old Quarter before crossing Long Bien Bridge, a century-old structure that has stood as a symbol of resilience through wartime and change. End the tour with a drive around West Lake, the city’s largest lake, lined with temples, cafés, and leafy promenades. The evening is free for you to relax or explore Hanoi’s vibrant food scene at your own pace.

Today you’ll leave the city behind and head to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its breathtaking seascape of limestone karsts, emerald waters and thousands of scattered islands. After a comfortable drive, board your boat and enjoy a welcome drink as you settle in and get ready for your overnight cruise. Lunch is served as the boat begins to glide through the bay’s beautiful limestone islands—an ever-changing view that’s perfect for kicking back and soaking it all in. In the afternoon, you’ll visit a cave and have time for a swim if the weather’s right. Then, return to the boat for a relaxing break, or join a casual cooking session where you’ll try your hand at making a Vietnamese dish. Happy hour is a great chance to grab a drink and catch the sunset from the deck. Dinner is served onboard, followed by optional evening fun—maybe a drink at the bar, a bit of squid fishing, or simply enjoying the peaceful night on the water.

Wake up to the tranquil beauty of Halong Bay and join a dawn activity such as Tai Chi on the sundeck. After breakfast, the cruise continues through the spectacular karst scenery and may include a visit to a fishing village before you check out and enjoy brunch around 10:00 am. Once the boat docks at the harbor, you’ll be transferred back to Hanoi. In the evening, board the overnight train to Dong Hoi—a memorable way to travel like the locals.

Arrive in Dong Hoi early in the morning and take a short rest to freshen up. Afterward, your driver and guide will welcome you and transfer you to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, home to some of the most extraordinary caves in the world. Among them, Paradise Cave stands out—stretching 31 km, it is the longest dry cave in Asia. Located 360 meters above sea level, its interior remains pleasantly cool, about 9–10°C lower than the outside temperature. A wooden staircase extends for around 1 km, guiding visitors through vast chambers filled with breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites. After the visit, you’ll have the rest of the day free to explore Dong Hoi at your own pace.

From Quang Binh, journey along the central coast to Quang Tri province, one of the regions most heavily affected by the war between 1954 and 1975. Here, in the former Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), visit the historic Hien Luong Bridge over the Ben Hai River — once known as the 17th Parallel, the symbolic line that divided North and South Vietnam during wartime. Continue to the Vinh Moc Tunnels, an extensive underground shelter where local people and soldiers lived and fought during the war against the United States through nearly 2000 days and nights. In the late afternoon, drive onward to Hue, the former imperial capital, where you will spend the night.

Welcome to Hue – where the imperial past meets new experiences. This romantic and tranquil city will captivate you with its poetic beauty and imperial heritage. After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will take you to explore the Forbidden Purple City, the former residence of the Nguyen emperors, followed by a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda – a 17th-century landmark gracefully perched on the banks of the Perfume River. You’ll then have some free time for lunch at your own expense. In the afternoon, visit Tu Duc’s Tomb, a harmonious blend of natural scenery and imperial design that reflects the grandeur of the Nguyen dynasty, before ending the day at bustling Dong Ba Market, where vendors sell everything from fresh produce to conical hats. In the evening (18:00 – 21:00), join a scooter tour to discover Hue’s cuisine, sampling local specialties such as Beo, Nam, Loc cakes; Hue mini pancake or Khot cake; Hue BBQ and the well-known Hue noodle soup ending with the sweet dessert Chè.

This morning, drive along the breathtaking Hai Van Pass, where mountains drop steeply into the sea. Stop in Da Nang before continuing to Hoi An. At Cam Thanh Coconut Village, ride in a traditional basket boat through shaded waterways. Later, explore Hoi An’s Ancient Town, a UNESCO site filled with historic treasures: the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phung Hung House, and the ornate Phuc Kien Assembly Hall. As evening falls, take part in the enchanting lantern release on the Hoai River—a magical tradition held on the 14th day of each lunar month, at its most colorful and festive during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s vibrant southern metropolis. Upon landing, you’ll be greeted and transferred to the city centre to check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, board the Saigon Waterbus to enjoy a fresh perspective of the city from the river. Later, head up to the Bitexco Financial Tower Skydeck, where sweeping views over the bustling streets and glittering skyline await.

Your tour guide will meet you in the reception area and take you to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, located about 70 km northwest of central Saigon. This remarkable historical site is considered one of the most fascinating underground structures in the world. During the war, this extensive underground maze served as a hidden military base where Vietnamese soldiers lived, coordinated strategies, received medical treatment, and launched surprise attacks before disappearing underground. Visiting Cu Chi today, in a time of peace, offers valuable insight into the courage, ingenuity, and resilience of the Vietnamese people during wartime. Afterwards, we’ll drive back to the city center and you’ll have your own time for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll take you to visit these attractions: War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sai Gon Post Office and Ben Thanh Market. We may finish the day at about 17:30 You’re free to discover Saigon’s night life on your own.

Enjoy your relaxed breakfast at the hotel. At the appointed time, your driver will transfer you to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your departure flight, concluding your 12-day journey through Viet Nam.
