Depart from Hanoi and travel north toward Ba Be National Park, a protected area known for its limestone mountains and interconnected lake system. Upon arrival, continue to the Nang River, where a boat journey takes you through Puong Grotto, a long river cave carved through the mountain by flowing water over time.

The visit continues to Ban Cam Village, home to the Tay ethnic community, where traditional stilt houses line the riverbank. After a short walk to observe daily life, board a boat to explore Ba Be Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam, surrounded by forested slopes. A stop is made at Widow Island, which is associated with a well-known local legend. Depending on the conditions, there may be time for a swim before returning for dinner and an overnight stay at a homestay.

In the morning, visit Hua Ma Cave, a dry cave known for its impressive concentration of stalactites and stalagmites, forming a dense and visually striking interior. After the visit, depart Ba Be and continue the journey through mountainous terrain, passing forested hills and rural settlements along the way.

A stop is scheduled in Cho Ra Town for lunch, after which the route continues toward Quang Uyen. This district is home to a large Nung population and is known for its agricultural landscape and quiet rural setting. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy dinner, with overnight accommodation at a local homestay or hotel.

After breakfast, travel to Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the most significant natural waterfalls in Southeast Asia, located along the border between Vietnam and China. The waterfall extends across multiple tiers, creating a wide and continuous flow that is particularly impressive during the rainy season.

Afterwards, head to Nguom Ngao Cave, a large limestone cave featuring extensive chambers and a variety of naturally formed rock structures. In the afternoon, transfer to Cao Bang, a provincial city surrounded by mountainous terrain, where you will check in for dinner and an overnight stay.
