Day 1: Saigon – Can Tho – Cai Be (L, D)

From 7:30–8:30am, you’ll be picked up at your hotel in central Saigon and transferred to the pier, where your comfortable river cruiser awaits. Arrive around 11:30am, board the boat, and settle into your cabin as the vessel begins gliding along the tranquil waterways. A delicious lunch is served while you take in the scenes of life on the river—fishing boats, fruit orchards, and stilted homes passing quietly by.
In the afternoon, step ashore for a gentle walk through a riverside village. Wander through orchards, meet friendly locals, taste fresh tropical fruits, and learn about traditional farming practices, all while enjoying the peaceful charm of the countryside.
Return to the boat in time for sunset on the deck, followed by a chef-prepared dinner on board. Spend the night in your cozy cabin, lulled by the calm flow of the Mekong River.

Wake up to the gentle sounds of the river and enjoy breakfast on board. Then set off on a traditional sampan and drift through quiet canals lined with water coconut palms. Visit small family-run workshops, watch local artisans crafting everyday products by hand, and experience Don Ca Tai Tu – southern folk music recognized by UNESCO. Continue to an island village, where you can explore by bicycle or on foot and soak in the unhurried pace of life along the Mekong.
After your excursion, at about 11:00am return to the pier and travel back to Saigon, stopping for lunch along the way. Arrive in the city in the afternoon.
