Itinerary

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City! Upon landing, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to settle in and explore at your own pace.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Meals: none

After breakfast, journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extraordinary underground world built during the resistance against American forces. Here you’ll walk through narrow passageways, see hidden entrances and trapdoors, and learn how local fighters lived, operated, and outsmarted their opponents beneath the jungle floor. Returning to the city, you will have time for lunch on your own arrangement. In the afternoon,  continue a guided tour to the city landmarks. Begin at the Independence Palace - the former presidential residence of South Vietnam, where the significant historic event took place on 30th April 1975, when Tank 390 of the Vietnamese army smashed the main gate of the presidential palace, leading to the collapse of the Saigon government, officially unifying the country. Next, visit the Jade Emperor Pagoda, a richly decorated Taoist temple filled with intricate wood carvings, statues, incense, and spiritual symbolism. Conclude the day at Binh Tay Market in Cholon, where local merchants trade spices, textiles, teas, and household goods in a bustling, colorful atmosphere. Return to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Meals: breakfast

Leave the city behind and head south into the fertile lands of the Mekong. Your first stop is Vinh Trang Pagoda, a graceful temple adorned with colorful mosaics and towering Buddha statues, offering a peaceful moment before the river journey begins. From there, step aboard a wooden boat and drift along wide stretches of water where floating houses and fish farms dot the horizon.

As the boat reaches Unicorn Island, you’ll be welcomed with folk melodies played by local musicians while sampling the sweetness of freshly picked tropical fruits. Later, trade the larger boat for a hand-rowed sampan, slipping quietly through shaded canals lined with swaying coconut palms—a scene that feels timeless and deeply serene.

Before lunch, pause at a family-run bee farm to sip honey tea, then watch how chewy coconut candies are made by hand, tasting them warm and fragrant. By late afternoon, return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Meals: breakfast

In the morning, transfer to the bus station for your journey to Phnom Penh. Enjoy a comfortable ride with a crew member assisting throughout the trip. At the border, you’ll receive support for visa processing and have time for a short break before continuing through the Cambodian countryside. Arrive in Phnom Penh in the late afternoon, meet your local guide, and transfer to your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing or discovering the riverside area on your own.

Overnight in Phnom Penh

Meals: breakfast

Begin your day at the Victory Monument, a proud symbol of Cambodia’s independence and resilience, before making your way to the National Museum, where elegant Khmer architecture frames a beautiful collection of ancient sculptures and cultural treasures. Continue to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, where golden spires rise above peaceful courtyards and the floor gleams with silver tiles, protecting sacred Buddha figures cherished for generations.

In the afternoon, visit Tuol Sleng (S-21) and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek - two powerful sites that tell the story of Cambodia’s recent history and honor those who suffered during this period. Later, shift to a lighter and more local rhythm as you explore the lively Russian Market and Central Market. Here, rows of colorful fabrics, handicrafts, and street snacks offer a vibrant glimpse into everyday Phnom Penh life.

Overnight in Phnom Penh

Meals: breakfast

Following your morning meal, a private transfer (without guide) will take you to Siem Reap, with a scenic six-hour drive through the Cambodian countryside. On arrival, check in at your hotel and take some time to refresh. In the afternoon, embark on a memorable boat trip across Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Visit Kampong Phluk, a fascinating floating village where entire communities live on the water—houses, schools, and even a police post shift with the seasons as water levels change. Lunch is recommended to have at a local restaurant (at your own expense). Please be advised that during the dry season, from April to May, the excursion will be arranged instead to Chong Kneas Floating Village.

Overnight in Siem Reap

Meals: breakfast

Start your day at Angkor Thom, the ancient walled capital of the Khmer Empire. Enter through the monumental South Gate and step into the mystical world of Bayon Temple, where serene stone faces gaze across the jungle and time seems to slow. From here, explore the former royal grounds, including the old palace site and Phimeanakas temple, then walk along terraces adorned with intricate carvings — once the grand stage for royal ceremonies and elephant parades.

After a short break, continue to Angkor Wat — the crown jewel of Cambodia’s heritage. Marvel at its lotus-shaped towers, vast moat, and detailed bas-reliefs that bring ancient legends to life. Built in the 12th century, this architectural masterpiece remains one of the world’s most enduring symbols of devotion and creativity.

Return to your hotel for a relaxing evening.
